HINTS FOR EXHIBITORS

  • FIRST AND FOREMOST BE A GOOD EXHIBITOR BY BEING A GOOD SPORTSMAN: BE ON TIME WITH YOUR EXHIBITS. LATE OPENINGS ARE VIEWED AS A MANAGEMENT PROBLEM WHEN IN FACT IT MAY RELATE TO LATE EXHIBITS.
  • FOLLOW THE SCHEDULE EXPLICITLY. IF RULES OR SCHEDULES ARE NOT CLEAR, OBTAIN CLARIFICATION BEFORE, NOT AFTER, JUDGING.
  • DO NOT BLAME THE SHOW COMMITTEE IF THEY FAIL TO BRING TO YOUR ATTENTION THAT YOU HAVE ENTERED INCORRECTLY. THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
  • LABEL ENTRIES WITH THE CORRECT VARIETY NAME, OR IDENTIFICATION SUCH AS EARLY OR LATE, EVEN IF THE SCHEDULE DOESN’T REQUEST IT. THIS ADDS TO THE EDUCATIONAL VALUE OF THE FAIR.
  • COMPETENT PEOPLE FAMILIAR WITH THAT DIVISION WILL DO THE JUDGING. IF THROUGH SOME FAULT OF THE SHOW COMMITTEE AN ENTRY IS LEFT, MISSED OR DISQUALIFIED THROUGH ERROR, THE EXHIBITOR IS ENTITLED TO A REFUND OF THE ENTRY FEE.
