The 78th Annual Lakes District Fall Fair
The 78th Annual Lakes District Fall Fair
A sheepdog trial (also known as a herding event, stock dog trial or simply dog trial) is a competitive dog sport in which herding dogs move sheep around a field, fences, gates, or enclosures as directed by their handlers. Such events are particularly associated with hill farming areas, where sheep range widely on largely unfenced land. These trials take place in the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Chile, Canada, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and other farming nations.
At the Lakes District Fall Fair, you will see stock dogs herd 3 sheep into a pen.
The Stock Dog Competition will be held in the Main Arena on Saturday between 9:00am-12:00pm and again on Sunday in the Main Arena between 10:00am-12:50pm
